Hospital Visitors

We have so many amazing family and friends who came and visited us in the hospital. We are so loved!!!

Ella in the NICU

Ella was taken from us only 2 hours after being born and put in the NICU. Because my waters had been broken for 27 hours when she was finally born and the fact that her white blood cell count was elevated, they put her in the NICU as a precaution. She spent a total of only 5 days there, but those 5 days seemed like a lifetime for us. We visited her as often as possible while we were still in the hospital and drove back to see her even after we had left. Seeing her hooked up to so many machines and monitors was scary, but we were very lucky. She ended up only with a bout of jaundice and nothing more.

First Diaper Change

Jason's first diaper change EVER!!! He did an amazing job!!! This is only the beginning of many more to come!!!

Well, the day has finally arrived for us to meet our little girls! It's been a long nine months (well, 37 weeks and 4 days) and we are ready to finally hold them!!

Here we are at the beginning of labor, about 6 hours in and still smiling.

My mom is rubbing my feet - yes I got the royal treatment.

Everyone had bets going on when the girls would arrive. Unfortunately, they were all WAY off. The girls didn't arrive for another 8 hours.


Auntie Kim and Tim were waiting anxiously in the waiting room.


Finally after 27 hours, they wheeled me off to the OR to have the girls!



Because I gave birth to the girls in the OR, no one could be in there except for Jason...so anxiously waiting outside of the nursery for their first glimpse were a soon to be Meemaw, Great-Grandma, Auntie Kim and Auntie Sarah.

Ella Rae was born at 12:50am and weighed in at 5lbs 2oz.

Ava Kimberlie was born at 12:58am and weighed in at 4lbs 14oz

Finally I get to hold my little girls!!!
