Visit with Santa 2012

We spent the evening at the Mission Inn seeing the Festival of Lights (BEAUTIFUL!!!).  The girls got to sit on Santa's lap and see his reindeer!!  We also rode in a horse drawn carriage - Cinderella Style!  The girls were beyond excited!!

We took our holiday family pictures down in Corona Del Mar this year.  They came out AMAZING thanks once again to Stephanie (Simply Captured by Stephanie Photography)!!  Girls did really well considering and the weather couldn't have been more perfect!

Thanksgiving 2012

We hosted Thankgiving this year at our house and made our very first Turkey ever!  Thanks to Matty's recipe it turned out AMAZING!!!  We are so blessed with such amazing friends and family....the day turned out perfect!

Potty Training Here We Come!!!

We have started potty training - well at least trying it out!  The girls have shown just about all of the signs that they are ready, however, the first day was total chaos!  Here are a few pics of the highlights of my crazy day!  Needless to say, the girls are doing ok, but I'm not sure they are entirely ready yet.  We will see in the coming weeks....

 I think they had more fun with the colanders than they did the actual potty training!  Poor Xena!!

Ava's First Haircut FINALLY!!!

Ava finally got her first haircut.  There really wasn't much to trim, but it needed to be cleaned up overall.  She ate her cookie and sat there like a good girl!

Scribble Time

This is what happens when a 2 year old (Ava) finds a pen and her mom doesn't realize for about 5 minutes!  Took 3 days for the pen to come off even with baths and extra wiping with wipes!!  She also colored on the dining room chair cushions - but that's all I found.  Could have been a lot worse!

Zabby

Zabby, our Golden Retriever, really is not the smartest doggy, however she is AMAZING with the girls!! The girls love jewelry and wanted to dress her up!  She just laid there and let them do whatever they wanted to her.

 Ava is trying to put Mr. Potato Head's teeth in her mouth....hilarious!!!

4th of July 2012

We spent our 4th of July at Kim & Tim's house this year.  We went swimming, relaxed and had amazing food (BBQ'd the fish Jason caught while up in Northern Calif.).

Bruce & Lilly

Ava has 2 dolls that she (well, both girls) received some time ago.  She is now finally really playing with them on an everyday basis and she has given them both names.....Bruce & Lilly (well Lilly was Jason's suggestion, but she liked it and has kept it.)  Instead of saying Lilly, she says 'Weewee'.  Anyhow, the 2 dolls look similar but one has green eyes (Bruce) and the other blue (Lilly) as well as having different outfits.  She never mixes them up and no matter what you do with the dolls, she still knows which is which.  It is hilarious!  She loves to cover them with blankies and kiss them night-night!!

The girls are both talking SO much lately....especially Ava.

Blueberries - 'Boobies', 

Chapstick - 'Cup-ick'

Chocolate Milk - 'Chalky-Nilk'

And Ella's are as follows: 

Blueberries - 'Boos'

Chapstick - 'Cup-cup'

2nd Disneyland Trip!!!

We decided to go to Disneyland today - after all we need to use our 3-day passes that we got last year before September.  Overall we had a great day!!!  The weather was gorgeous and the park wasn't too crowded!

The Parade was amazing!  Ella sat on Pop's lap for the whole thing, Minnie Ears and all!  Unfortunately Ava was so exhausted she slept through almost the entire thing!
